Hello! My name is Neha, and I am the creator of Pages of Impact! Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed reading. Books carry a whole world within them. During Covid, I became more aware of the disparities in access to books that exist in various communities, leading to the creation of Pages of Impact.

MY MISSION

I believe in the transformative power of books and fostering a vibrant culture of literacy within our community. Through Pages of Impact, my mission is to ignite a profound love for reading and learning among our community members. By orchestrating impactful book drives and channeling donations to local organizations, I aim to not only provide access to books but also to inspire, educate, and empower individuals of all ages. Through my passion for literature and a dedication to community engagement, I strive to foster a culture of literacy, and make a positive difference in the lives of those around me.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of Pages of Impact’s mission. I divert books from landfills by collecting material from libraries, bookstores, throughout the community with surplus materials that would otherwise be discarded. Every book collected is given careful consideration, and as as part of my commitment to environmental sustainability, I never, ever throw away a book. Any book for which I cannot find a proper home is recycled.

Neha has been an amazing community asset and supporter for More Than Words (MTW). Neha was instrumental in procuring incredible books for her community. She worked tirelessly to connect and raise awareness about MTW and its mission while collecting books for MTW to use in its businesses that employ young people. Over the last 3 years she has been able to generate over 3,500 books for donation to MTW completely on her own. She has communicated well with our staff and was always present and supportive during the pick-up process. She has been a delight to work with and an incredible asset to MTW and her community.

Neha Raj is a talented young leader in the Sherborn community. She is self-motivated and independently has scheduled book drives and food drives regularly throughout the school year. Neha is organized, handling communication and extraneous details among multiple organizations with aplomb. She is a credit to her school, and I can tell that she will go far along her chosen path!

Neha moved literally tons of books for the Friends of the Ashland Public Library, and for that we are extremely grateful! Her book drives used our surplus books leftover from book sales to supply “More Than Words” with thousands of donated books, while at the same time, her youthful energy took a tremendous load off our not-so-young library volunteers. Neha was passionate about her project which extended over many months. Her persistence and dedication to the book drives clearly exemplify a focused, goal-oriented young woman who was able to identify a need in the community and follow through with a solution that benefitted not only the Friends, but also the at-risk youth training program operated by the More Than Words organization. She was there when we needed her with a great willingness to work and a friendly smile. Thank you, Neha!

I wanted to take a moment to write and thank you for your generous recent donation of an estimated 1,400 books along with clothing and CDS to More Than Words at our store in Waltham. The staff that retrieved the books informed me of the ease of your pickup, due to the books being stacked neatly and in a clear space that made loading and transporting the donations easier than most stops because there was a clear path to and from the books. Ultimately, I appreciate those details but even more the condition of the books retrieved, the staff and I are greatly appreciative that you took the time to sort through the books and only donated ones in good condition. Your support is what helps us conduct a successful business for youth.

Local Bookworm Hero! Neha's passion for books goes beyond reading – she's a champion for literacy and resourcefulness! Taking initiative, she identified perfect "forever homes" for local libraries' withdrawn books, ensuring they reach young people who might not have had access, instead of languishing in recycle bins. Neha's willingness to tackle a mountain of books (literally!) made the donation process super easy for me as the teen librarian at Medfield Public Library (and gave me peace of mind knowing they were going to great organizations)! Thanks to Neha's dedication, these books get a second life, the library has valuable space, and young readers gain access to a wealth of stories and information. A win for everyone!
